i need a distraction...

ok. it's been an eventful week. to say the least... after our second trip to the Dr. in two days we have discovered that Kendyl's ear drum decided to burst, Brad has croup and Rylin has RSV and an earache..Avery is... princess Avery and Had is adorable. (I felt bad leaving those two bugs out...)

Yeah. party over here!

I am totally drained with it all and really need a distraction. So, I think I will watch our favorite movie of ALL TIME!! (ok. there are some close second placers...) But, this one takes the cake...for sure! ;)

Seriously, if you haven't seen this "most likely to split your gut laughing" movie... you have to.

it's classic. up there with Pride and Prejudice or... Pirates of the Caribbean (ladies, you know what I'm talking about...)I think William H. Macy is comic genius!!

ok. I know. I've been slacking on my blogger duties... I know. But, I am tired... and...well, just tired. So, I thought I would share a little funny from Brad this morning...

Mom: (folding laundry on my bed...)
Brad: (running full blast--screaming into my room)

Mom: "what are you screaming for B?!"
Brad: (seriously...at the TOP of his voice...) "I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE! THE GIRLS ARE 'TA-GA-NIZING ME EVERY SECOND!"
Mom: "I am sorry B.....uh... it's only because they love you so much..."
Brad: "I am serious mom. Tell them to stop taganizing me RIGHT NOW or they can't love me either!"

Kendyl put me in my place the other night.... I was having a "it's bedtime and I can't take the screaming kids mugging all over me anymore" moment...

Mom: "that's it!! I can't stand the noise...everybody OUT OF MY ROOM!!!"
Kendyl: after everyone left but her..."Mom, isn't this the reason you and Dad decided to have a lot of kids?"
Mom: ok... honestly, I just stared at her at first.... bugged that I got called out.... and bugged that now I felt like I should apologize to the little bugs....

then I gave her a big snuggle and thanked her for reminding me why I have a house full of loud kids....

.......funny thing is I don't drink caffeine. And who has the energy to be a "vibrating crackhead"?? I barely have the energy to unload my dishwasher.....

peachy peach

my friend Shauna (check out her blog over at Nature for kids) and I
spent yesterday up to our elbows in peaches... It was pretty funny...
we had TONS! But, we were able to make loads of yummy peach goodness...
Our list includes... peach jam, peach raspberry jam, peach strawberry cinnamon jam, peach vanilla syrup, peach vanilla cinnamon syrup and plain peach syrup... It was a lot of hard work, but Stephen and I tried some of the peach vanilla cinnamon syrup on some vanilla ice cream last night... AHHH. It tasted like fall. Like apple pie. Totally worth the
hard work. Now we just have to can sliced peaches next week.... ;)

ok... first off. Amanda, please don't kill me for posting this AWESOME picture.... but!! I have to explain how my day went today and this picture is just how I felt....

Stephen got a call last night to pick up some OT and pick up a prisoner in Monticello... So, I was already stressed out that I had to go to church all by myself. Yes, I know, it's tragic.

So, this morning I was franticly getting the kiddos ready... then decided to be a little late because the thought of me trying to keep all four quiet in sacrament... made me throw up a little. So, I "happily" get the kids ready and out the door at 10:40. I was pretty proud of myself actually that we made it at all.... well, we get to church and go to the chapel... it's empty. I was totally confused. I texted Stephen and asked what time church starts... he just replied " are you crazy?" and told me it started at 11:00. I about cried. I had no snacks-no books-no nothing. I was a total space case and now I had to sit through all of Sacrament without a thing to keep them occupied... (moms with little ones will feel my pain...) I ran to the library and got some crayons and paper and crossed my fingers. I had to leave in the middle of it because Av was being a pill... and the baby was REALLY ready for a nap.

While out there I was looking at a calendar and realized that TODAY was our Anniversary. Again... I about cried. That's the THIRD year in a row we have forgotten about it... I am losing my mind. Seriously.

So, moral of the story... I have the mind of a three year old. And the memory of a Popsicle stick.

And I am PROUD OF IT!

4 Movies I Could Watch Over and Over

I don't really watch movies.. I fall asleep after
about 15 minutes... but, If Jon and Kate (plus 8)
made a movie... I would watch it over and over, I'm sure.

a freezer full of happiness...

so. I know everyone is itchin for summer to come along... and stay awhile...

there are a few things that really get me excited for spring and summer. One of them is homemade jam. Ladies, if you haven't done it... you have to. Nothing compares to homemade jam on a yummy piece of white bread... it makes me salivate thinking about it!

A couple of weeks ago my friend Heather and I spent an afternoon slaving in the kitchen... we made strawberry and strawberry peach. ahh. yummo. It turned out really good. We made something like 60 jars... I counted, but soon after forgot.

We said we would keep track how long it took our families to go through it all.... I said it would last over 6 months... but, two weeks later we are already on our third jar.

Is there anything more exciting than a freezer full of fun stuff like that?? Now I can't wait for our 1/4 cow we just bought!!! ;) I wonder how long THAT will last.... ;)

.... ok. I have news.

I should have known.

I actually, in the back of my mind, did know.

Between peeing 3 times in the middle of the night, leaving my keys in the truck RUNNING while I go into the store, tripping all over the place (more than usual), lactating. seriously. and other various signs I won't bore you with....yep.


we're having a baby!

#5 is on it's way... due circa December 10th....

ahhh. let the craziness begin. Ok. just kidding, let's just add to the chaos!! :)

Stephen and I went to Park City a few days ago and celebrated the fun news and when we got home we set all of the kids on the couch to get their surprises... (it's tradition to bring home silly gifts when we're away from the bugs) anyway, I then told them that their surprise was growing in my tummy... they all looked at me really funny and then I told them we were going to have a baby. They were all momentarily excited, then the laughter stopped and they all asked for their "real prize". dang kids. It's always about the toys.

ahhhh.... my new favorite....
